Brian Hunter has been a Chartered Electrical Engineer and a full corporate member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology since 1998. Brian became a Chartered Electrical Engineer on the strength of his knowledge and expertise in the field of industrial control systems and specifically the design and implementation of PLC based control systems and PC based SCADA systems.

Brian Hunter is also a Chartered Building Services Engineer and a full corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers. Brian became a Chartered Building Services Engineer in 2006 on the strength of his experience of managing the building services for both The Edrington Group and The University of Stirling.

Brian was one of the first engineers in the UK to complete the European Heat Pump Association's Heat Pump Installers course. This qulaification was then immediately consolidated with the commissioning of a ground source heat pump for The University of Stirling and troubleshooting a private ground source heat pump installation in Helensburgh.
