Brian Hunter.  Chartered Electrical Engineer. Chartered Building Services Engineer. Low Carbon Consultant. Energy Assessor.

Brian Hunter is a freelance Chartered Electrical Engineer and Chartered Building Services Engineer.

Brian graduated in 1987 with a degree in Physics from the University of Strathclyde. Following a spell commissioning Torness Nuclear Power Station and working on the secondary shielding for Trafalgar class nuclear submarines, Brian moved into industrial controls, first with Scomagg Ltd and then Elite Control Systems Ltd.

During this time Brian completed his MBA, on a part-time basis, at Strathclyde Graduate Business School, allowing him to move into engineering management with The Edrington Group at their bottling facility in Drumchapel, Glasgow and then as Head of Engineering and Building Services with The University of Stirling.

Brian was a founding director of eHandS Ltd, producing a web based solution for the online management of health and safety, before returning to engineering in July 2008. Since returning to engineering Brian has played a major role in the start-up of METERology Real Time Energy Monitoring, a software solution for real time energy management. 

Brian has also previosly served as Regional Chairman for The Prince's Scottish Youth Business Trust in the Glasgow region.

In his spare time Brian is a keen sailor, holding a Yachtmaster Instructor qualification and racing a Hunter 707 on Loch Lomond at the weekends.
